3. Cultural Festivals and Events

Throughout the year, Sedalia comes alive with a variety of cultural festivals and events that showcase the city’s diversity and creativity. The Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival celebrates the legacy of the renowned composer Scott Joplin, while the Craft Beer Festival attracts beer enthusiasts from near and far. 4. Natural Wonders and Outdoor Adventures

Nature enthusiasts will find solace in Sedalia’s abundant natural beauty. Katy Trail State Park, a converted rail trail, offers a scenic route for hiking and biking amid picturesque landscapes. Liberty Park, with its serene lakes and walking trails, is perfect for a leisurely afternoon picnic. For those seeking more adventure, nearby Whiteman Air Force Base offers tours of historic aircraft and military displays.

5. Warm and Welcoming Community

One of Sedalia’s most charming tourism elements is its friendly and hospitable community. Locals are known for their warm welcome, always ready to share stories and recommendations with visitors. Whether you’re exploring the city’s historical sites or mingling at a local festival, you’ll be met with open arms and a sense of belonging.

6.Casinos near Sedalia

This review is for the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Boonville’s casino and buffet.

The casino: according to their advertisements, the casino floor was recently renovated so I couldn’t tell you what this place was like before I turned 21 (just over a year ago). This being said though, it’s nice for a casino in the middle of Missouri. Of course, it’s nothing in comparison to some of the higher up casinos one would find in St. Louis or Kansas City.

There are a variety of slot machines, virtual poker machines, and a handful of table games (primarily blackjack and Texas hold’em). However, there is only one craps table, and one roulette wheel, so finding a spot on a Friday or Saturday between 6-11pm can be hard to come by, but if you’re really wanting to play, just wait your turn.

The atmosphere is decent: Free soda, cocktail waitresses, and respectful employees. There are also often theme nights and giveaways multiple times a month. Also, for out of state people who may not know, smoking is allowed in Missouri casinos.

The buffet: The buffet is alright, rather expensive if you ask me. Right around twenty dollars for dinner. There is a huge range of food and the dining and kitchen area seems clean. Pretty typical buffet food though.

Conclusion: Sedalia Beckons You
